THE widower of a Midland GP who said he was being discriminated against because he is a man has lost his landmark legal case against the Department of Health.
Former Royal Marine Iain Cockburn said he was the victim of "pure and utter sexual discrimination" because the payment he received from his late wife Clare Boothroyd's pension was pounds 3,2000 a- year less than a woman would get in the same circumstances.
