IT WAS good to read another excellent letter from Nazim Ali about the problems of hearing from moderate Muslim leaders instead of the extremists who, I agree, always seem to be given a platform to express their outrageous views (Mail, February 15).
However, one of my biggest problems with understanding Islam and Muslims is the appalling slaughter still happening in Iraq. What kind of motivation or justification is there for a woman to walk into a crowd of pilgrims with the sole intent of killing as many of them as possible (and herself ) simply because they are Sunnis or Shiite Muslims? To feel such a level of pure hatred for brothers and sisters of the same Muslim faith leaves me utterly lost and confused and I would really like to hear an explanation for this on-going outrage.See the full content of this document
