TWENTY four wards in Birmingham and the Black Country have been shut because of outbreaks of a vomiting bug that has hit hospitals across the country.

Five wards between Sutton Coldfield's Good Hope Hospital and Heartlands Hospital, in Bordesley Green, have been closed to new patients because of norovirus contamination.
