Summary
IT WAS about this time last year that I met a charming group from Goldieslie Close in Sutton Coldfield. Elderly residents from the Midland Heart housing scheme there welcomed our walking programme as it encouraged many who would not normally go out for walks to get out more. The Get Walking Keep Walking 12-week programme was a great hit (we had left them to continue independently between weeks four and 12). The group were soon up and organising their own regular jaunts in the area and a year on they continue their weekly walk finishing off with a sociable lunch. I will be popping in to see them again very soon for a catch up and to share my adventures from this past year. No doubt they will have a few more of their own to share too!
