A TRAGIC Birmingham teenager who was hit by a car "slipped away" in front of friends as emergency services desperately battled to save her life.

Kirsty Malin, pictured, aged 19, from Yardley, died following a collision with a car on the Coventry Road near the New Inn pub in the area just after midnight on Saturday Tributes on social network site Facebook described the teenager as "beautiful" and described the horror of watching her "life slip away before my eyes".
