CHANCELLOR Alistair Darling will accuse the Tories of "relishing the chance to swing the axe" at public services today as part of Labour's efforts to launch a political fightback.
Mr Darling will try to rekindle the "fire" he warned yesterday was lacking from the party's belly with a verbal assault on the Opposition's "cutsdriven ideology" and on bank bonuses.
