A TRADER at Birmingham's worldfamous Rag Market who stole more than pounds 10,000 of stock from his fellow traders has avoided prison.
Gohar Chohan was caught selling some of the stock at a Saturday market in Stratford - just a day after he stole it. The 37-year-old was caught by the victim who found him selling the jewellery for double the price at the Welsbourne Market. Chohan told Birmingham Magistrates that he wanted to apologise and he added that he was "ashamed of his abhorrent behaviour", which he blamed on trying to pay off mounting debts.See the full content of this document
