A 68-YEAR-OLD West Bromwich man was left fighting for life with severe burns after his settee turned into a ball of fire.

Fire crews were called by neighbours to the semidetached council house in Marsh Lane, Hateley Heath, to find the man unconscious in his living room just before 2am on Monday.
