BUSINESSES across the West Midlands were praised today for their "remarkable" resilience in fighting back against the worst economic downturn for decades.

Figures released by the West Midland Chambers of Commerce (WMCC) revealed that all sectors of business had enjoyed increased home and export sales in the July to September quarter.
