A CROOKED Sandwell accountant who was the brains behind a pounds 2.5 million VAT scam has been jailed for four years.

Judge Michael Challinor told 47-yearold Parmjit Rana: "You were the architect and main perpetrator of a quite sophisticated fraud and you drew into your net clients and other business contacts by persuading them to join in this conspiracy."
