Summary
SUTTON COLDFIELD is considered a property hotspot thanks to its combination of private estates, quality shopping and the much used resource of Sutton Park, which has archeological remains going back to pre-Roman times.
In 1528 a charter of King Henry VIII gave the town the right to be known as The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. The town and municipal borough were once part of Warwickshire but were amalgamated into the City of Birmingham and the metropolitan county of West Midlands in 1974, despite the objections of local residents.See the full content of this document
