A DECISION on controversial moves to downgrade maternity services in Solihull is unlikely to go ahead until after the general election, it emerged today. A public consultation into the changes at Solihull Hospital by Heart of England FoundationTrust had been expected to start this month.
But bosses at NHS Birmingham East and North and Solihull NHS Care Trust, who are leading the consultation, have revealed they are to do more assessments on the plans before a public consultation takes place, meaning a final ruling on the proposals is not expected before May.See the full content of this document
