Summary
DOG lovers today leapt to the defence of Walsall boarding kennels where three dogs were putdown after a dramatic RSPCA raid. Rosedene Boarding Kennels, in Radley Road was closed down last week by police and animal welfare officers amid allegations of poor conditions. It has now had its council licence revoked.
Rosedene volunteer Diane Whatton supported the kennels. She said: "Those dogs were well taken care of and regularly seen by the vet two or three times a week. They were walked numerous times a day by volunteers who loved those dogs. The remarks about the poor condition of the dogs must be put right." Matthew Clarke, aged 31, from Kingstanding, who adopted a dog last September, said: "The kennels were outdated but the dogs were cared for. The volunteers there couldn't be more helpful."See the full content of this document
