A SCHEME to help poverty stricken women and girls in Afghanistan is getting its UK launch at a Birmingham NEC exhibition later month.

The Sewing for Pleasure and Hobbycrafts show will feature Afghanistan Inspiration, a humanitarian project that teaches embroidery skills to residents of the war torn village of Laghmani.
