Summary
"CLIMATE cops" helped pupils from a Worcestershire school learn about climate change, renewable energy and how to become greener and more energy efficient.
A group of 80 students at St Peters Church of England Voluntary Aided First School in Droitwich were shown simple ways to save energy in an exciting and engaging way by the "cops" from npower. The interactive day was packed with activities for the eight-and nine-year-olds, including generating electricity with body movement, working with miniature examples of renewable energy and using thermal imaging cameras to see how much heat is emitted from the human body. Teacher Kate Harwood said: "The children really enjoyed the day. It taught them about climate change and saving energy in a fun, engaging way. They've learnt some simple ways to conserve energy that will make a big difference."See the full content of this document
