Summary
A MAJOR canal restoration project is under threat from Britain's proposed highspeed link, it has emerged. Lichfield and Hatherton Canal Restoration Trust (LHCRT), which has been working since 1988 to restore the waterway links between South Staffordshire and the West Midlands, is one the verge of hitting a major milestone.
This autumn it plans to rewater a section of the route in Borrowcop Locks Canal Park, Tamworth Road, Lichfield - it will be the first part of the restored length to have water put back in it.See the full content of this document
