A COUPLE narrowly escaped with their lives after yobs hurled a mountain bike off a bridge into the path of their car.

The man and woman, aged in their 50s, were injured after their car ploughed into a lampost after swerving to avoid the bike on the A5190 Burntwood bypass, near Lichfield, over the weekend.
