Summary
YOUNG apprentices have been building for their futures by working on pounds 13.5 million redevelopment programme in Birmingham. Work is already underway on the Orchard development in Erdington, which is replacing a YMCA hostel with 83 self-contained flats to house young members of the city's homeless community.
A six-strong team of students from Birmingham Metropolitan College spent a week at the Orchard, where they completed carpentry and joinery tasks under the supervision of Wates construction workers.See the full content of this document
