Enrolment Special

HIGHER education places are still available, despite a record number of students being accepted into university or college this year. Similarly, local colleges of further education and sixth-forms are still enrolling for a variety of courses for those who received their GCSE results last week.

Trip Widens Horizons

STUDENTS studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) at The Sixth Form College, Solihull, have returned from Slovakia, where they were working in a local school on a volunteer project. The IB is offered by the college in conjunction with Tudor Grange School. As part of the course, students undertake a programme called Creativity, Action & Service (CAS), which involves volunteer work. In this case, the students were teaching English to Slovak children aged between five and 12 years-old.
